Building a Movement is a program to train leaders in leveraging conflict and strong communication skills to develop collective movements within their campus. The goal of this program is to empower leaders to build movements for social change out of conflict. Through this experience trainees will gain or enhance their ability to (1) identify conflict, (2) assess strategies to manage conflict, and (3) leverage communication skills to turn conflict into social change. 3-hours

Stratospheric Change: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices for Sustainable Institutional Change. Stratospheric Change is a program to train organizational leaders to design DEI practices for sustainable institutional change through grassroots policy development, program evaluation, and student engagement assessment. The goal of this program is to train leaders to design DEI practices. Through this experience trainees will gain (1) knowledge about DEI, (2) assessment skills about their current practices, and (3) the ability to engage students in policy development. 6-hours
Increasing Positivity, Decreasing Hostility: Implicit/Explicit Bias Awareness. Increasing Positivity is a program designed to prepare attendees in identifying their own implicit and explicit bias. The goal of this program is for attendees to understand the impacts of implicit and explicit bias and how to mitigate their biases. Through this experience attendees will gain (1) the ability to recognize their biases, (2) understanding as to how biases impact student achievement and workplace culture, and (3) the skills to mitigate bias to decrease hostility. 3-hour
Dream Supporters 101: Understanding the Underrepresented Student Experience. Dream Supporters is a program designed to prepare student affairs professionals, educational leaders, and teachers to work equitably and supportively with underrepresented minority students. The goal of this program is to engage educators in understanding the underrepresented student experience a non-monolithic paradigm. Through this experience professionals will gain (1) awareness of the underrepresented student experience, (2) understanding of the non-monolithic nature of underrepresented minorities, and (3) the ability to support the diverse dreams of underrepresented students in an equitable manner. 6-hours
Leaders for All: Cultural Competence for Inclusive Leadership. Leaders for All is a program designed to prepare students and professional leaders to use cultural competencies as a component to their leadership style. The goal of this program is to cultivate culturally competent leaders. Through this experience attendees will gain or enhance their ability to (1) identify cultural competencies, (2) deploy inclusive practices, and (3) assess their personal success in doing so. 3 or 6- hours
What you said, what I heard: Communication Skills Workshop. What you said, what I heard is a program designed to train attendees in intrapersonal communication skills. The goal of this program is to improve the intrapersonal communication skills of attendees. Through this experience attendees will enhance their ability to (1) define intrapersonal communication tactics, (2) to assess their own intrapersonal communication skills, and (3) implement effective intrapersonal communication strategies to bring about healthy cultural climates.
